I had my 38 week check up this afternoon. Everything is looking good. I'm measuring right on schedule, the head is down, normal BP, and one exciting thing- I've lot 2 lbs:) She checked me and I haven't dialated any yet but she said my cervix has thinned out some so that's good. It looks like Charlotte won't be coming early (the doctor didn't say that but that's what I'm assuming from the no dialation) thank goodness.
Everyone is freaking me out- everyone wants her to come early. Granted I would be happy to have her outside the womb and cuddle her and what not and I'm sure I would be a whole heck of a lot more comfortable. BUT I'm not ready yet. I've washed a bunch of her clothes, blankets, towels, and socks and started preparing the hospital bag (kinda). But I'm not ready.
BTW I've only washed a couple loads of her clothes and I've already lost a sock! I can't find it anywhere- either it got folded up in her other laundry and I didn't notice because it's so tiny or the dogs stole it or the dryer ate it. But she hasn't even worn them yet and I've lost one.
We had a really good Christmas but it sure was busy! Wow I don't remember it ever being this crazy busy. I don't think I've slept more than a couple hours at a time since before Christmas. ugh. Jacob and I have been sick this week and that has not been any fun:( This should be crunch time for us but we have been too sick to do anything productive. We were supposed to get our carpets cleaned today but we have been too sick to clean up our Christmas mess, so we had to reschedule. I think I feel worse today than yesterday. The worse part of being sick and pregnant is that I can't take any meds. ugh.
Oh one fun thing that happened to me- a guy gave me a free drink at Lenny's the day after Christmas. I was about to die of thirst so we popped into Lenny's while shopping at the Pottery Barn Outlet. Well I must have looked fat and pitiful because that guy wouldn't let me pay for my drink. I may be large and ugly but hey atleast I can get a free coke:)
Another no so fun thing- my nose is starting to spread. I'm such a cutie:)
I'm hoping for a restful and maybe productive New Year's weekend. We shall see:)
Mitzi, get a a mesh laundry bag for little things like socks. They are so small and get lost so easy. You can wash them in the bag and should have them all at folding time. BTW, this is the fun time (although you may not believe me right now). You will miss feeling that precious little one in your belly even though she is in your arms. People would tell me I would miss being preggo, but I didn't believe them. Everything will get done. Charlotte won't care if it doesn't anyway. Enjoy what time you have left b/c soon all time will be devoted to Charlotte.
