So today I felt terrible at work and decided to leave a couple hours early. One of my managers said "you aren't pregnant are you?" I said "ever since I got married, people think I'm pregnant whenever I'm sick." I laughed. Then she said "no seriously, are you?" *awkward pause* Other manager "well if you are you can't hide it for long" * nervous laughther* First manager "are you pregnant?" me: "you'll be the first to know when the time come" *awkward laugh and exit* wowzers. that was alot of awkwardness right there. welp I'm guessing I should probably go ahead and tell them after my doctors appt tuesday because I'm sure they figured it out, I wasn't very smooth.
Then fast forward a few minutes and I'm talking to Tucker on the phone on my way home. He started telling me about his med school graduation then he asked if there was anything new my way and I blurted out "Yeah me and Jacob are having a baby". He suggested I work on my way of telling people before I start telling people for real. ha
on that note, I'm going to bed before I spill the beans again.
awkward, out.
Smooth
ReplyDeleteBetter not let Helen know you're told someone outside the family...she's ready to spill the beans at the drop of a hat!
ReplyDeleteHehe... Even though I'm showing now, I still get really flustered when strangers notice I'm pregnant and ask, "When are you due?" It's like my heart races and my mind goes completely blank.
