I'm worried about Charlotte taking a bottle while I'm at work. I've read about babies reverse cycling where they move their long stretch of sleep to the middle of the day when they are away from mom and eat a lot at night (aka when I'll want to sleep). She doesn't take a bottle well so I'm trying to have someone give her a bottle everyday. Yesterday my mom gave her a bottle but Char only ate 1/2 oz then fell asleep until I got back then she breastfed well. Today Jacob gave her a bottle and she did a lil better. She fought it alot though. She ended up eating maybe 2oz but was still crying and sucking. I finally breastfed her since she was crying and refusing the rest of the bottle. Boo
It'll get better I'm sure.. I just need to keep introducing the bottle. But still I'm stressing out.
Anyone have trouble with their baby taking a bottle? We have tried nuk, playtex vent air and breastflow bottles. I have a Dr. Brown bottle that I need to sterilize but that bottle is kinda intimidating. I've heard that I should try playtex drop-ins. It may not really matter what bottle we try... She's prolly just too pro-boob right now. Ha
In other news, I was really hoping to go to this retirement party at work tomorrow. But my mom ended up getting shingles so she couldn't watch Charlotte. I had to RSVP by Monday... Then my mom went to the doctor Wednesday morning and he said she was all better now. I should have gambled and RSVPd. I could use a night out hanging out with other adults, plus Jacob has never met my co-workers (one of the downsides of working in another city than where you live). Oh well.

If she didn't like the ventaire, she won't like the dropins- they use the same nipple. We have tried Playtex ventaire, Avent, Soothie, Tommee Tippee, Breastflow and Gerber(cheapies from Target that are like $1 each). He takes the last 3 the best but will not take them if I'm in the room and at best he will only take an oz. Our pedi told us to keep trying and he will take it eventually or when he gets hungry enough :/
